The Guild of Magic Librarians convened in 2022 as an effort to build a stronger connection among an informal international network of librarians, archivists, and private collectors who are working to preserve and promote the history of magic and illusion.
Our goals are to:
- Increase the visibility of magic collections held at special collections libraries.
- Encourage interdisciplinary research into magic history
- Offer professional advice to private collectors for the care of their collections
- Inspire the next generation of magic collectors with resources on building collections
